Bunny Approved gift exchange gets spring hopping!

As winter comes to a close, there are many things to look forward to for spring.
For some people it is the chance to spend more time outdoors, or to get back to planting and growing things.  For those who celebrate Easter, the arrival of the holiday can not pass without talk of the Easter bunny.

Elfster found a group of people who love bunnies, all year long.  These folks all own rabbits as pets, and are passionate about rabbit health and safety.  Additionally, they are committed to educating others about ways to keep a rabbit as a pet in a more natural environment.

The group became acquainted through a facebook group, called Bunny Approved.   They use the page to discuss the issues and behavior of their pets, and share ideas on healthy ways to feed your pet.  For instance, “Bunny”, the hoppity inspiration behind Bunny Approved, only eats vegetables, hay, herbs, roots, fruits and other items he would have access to in the wild.

The organizer of the swap, Christina, decided that a gift exchange would be a great way to celebrate the spring season, and is encouraging members of her community to sign up.  The goal for the exchange is to send a $5 gift along with a picture of your pet.  The spending limit was intentionally set low so that more people would be able to participate.  The only limitation on the gift is that they be rabbit related.  Christina also thinks, “it’ll be fun for everyone and a great way to bring people from all over the world together.”

This exchange will be the first for the Bunny Approved community.   Christina has used Elfster for other exchanges, and loves the simplicity and fun of a gift exchange setup on the site.  As a participant, she thinks that the wish lists are, “awesome and a great way to share ideas”.  She also likes the different options available to share information about an exchange.  For this group, they chose to add a signup link to their Facebook page, since that is where they have all connected in the past.

As Christina put it, “I love the idea that so many people are encouraged to think of a way to brighten someone else’s day. Plus, who doesn’t get excited about the prospect of getting a gift or a friendly note in the mail?”  We could not agree more!
